AIC Student Mitchell Byrne Named to NE-10 Men's Track & Field Academic All-Conference Team
American International College sophomore Mitchell Byrne (Dublin, Ireland) was selected to the Northeast-10 Men's Track and Field Academic All-Conference team announced by the league office on April 6. The 2015 NE-10 Cross Country Sport Excellence Award winner has acquired a cumulative grade point average of 3.83 in business. Byrne helped lead AIC to consecutive conference crowns with a third place finish in the mile run (4:18.07). He set a new personal best in the mile at the Boston University Last Chance meet with a time in 4:10.23. Byrne was a part of the school record holding distance medley relay team that went 9:47.22 at the New England Championships. He was tabbed a four-time US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) East All-Region recipient in the mile, 3k, 5k and DMR.

Dana Bramble Named USTFCCCA East Region Women's Field Athlete of the Year
Dana Bramble of East Hartford, CT was named the US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) East Region Women's Field Athlete of the Year. Dana is a sophomore and chemistry major at American International College. Just prior to this recognition, Dana came in first at the New England Championship Long Jump held at Boston University, leaping 5.85 meters (19 feet, 2.5 inches) on her first attempt for the win.

Brianna Bishop Nets Her 1,000th Career Point for AIC's Women's Basketball
Brianna Bishop (Suffield, CT), a senior and physical therapy major at American International College in Springfield, MA, recently scored her 1,000th career point as guard for the college's women's basketball team. She became the 20th player in program history to reach this milestone, doing so in 99 games played. Brianna was also recently named to the NE-10 All Tournament Team for the second time.

All student-athletes were nominated by their schools and have achieved at least junior status academically and had a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.
