Taylor James-Matthurin, of Boston, MA, received the Award for Outstanding Achievement in Theater Arts during the American International College (AIC) Academic Awards ceremony this spring. The Rex's Best Award is presented to American International College (AIC) juniors and seniors who have demonstrated personal growth through sustained leadership in clubs, organizations, athletics and/or in the community while serving as positive role models both inside and outside of the classroom. Rex is the AIC mascot.

Having just completed his sophomore year, James Flahive has joined the Onondaga Flames who play in the New York Collegiate Baseball League (NYCBL). James, of Longmeadow, MA, is a member of the American International College baseball team. James is off to a stunning start with the Flames. With 12 innings as a reliever, he has struck out 11. He also holds a .75 earned run average through six appearances. The Onondaga Flames play their home games at Onondaga Community College. Teams in the NYCBL play a 42-game schedule.

Kiana Robinson, of Boston, MA, majoring in general business, received the Chester S. McGown Award at American International College (AIC) in Springfield, MA during the College's Co-Curricular Awards Ceremony this spring. The Chester S. McGown Award is presented to a senior who demonstrates consistency in leadership as provided by Chester S. McGown through his 35 year presidency at AIC, spanning a period of enormous change including two World Wars and the intervening Great Depression.

Anyssa Dhaouadi, of New London, CT, majoring in sociology, was the sole recipient of the Naomi White-Inniss Social Justice Award at American International College (AIC) in Springfield, MA during the College's Co-Curricular Awards Ceremony this spring. The Naomi White-Inniss Social Justice Award is presented to a student who has triumphed over adversity, worked to bring the American International College community together, and exhibited the leadership qualities of Naomi White-Inniss, who served 40 years as Director of Mulicultural Affairs.

Dante Raggio, of Owings Mills, MD, majoring in nursing, received the Harry S. Levitan Award at American International College (AIC) in Springfield, MA, during the College's Co-Curricular Awards Ceremony this spring. The Harry S. Levitan Award is presented to a student who displays Harry Levitan's admirable personal qualities of courage, integrity, honor, respect, loyalty, duty, and service to American International College.

Bianca Aridou, of Framingham, MA, majoring in occupational science, was the sole recipient of the Henrietta Littlefield Award at American International College (AIC) in Springfield, MA during the College's Co-Curricular Awards Ceremony this spring. The Henrietta Littlefield Award is presented to a woman in the senior class who best demonstrates the leadership qualities and commitment to co-curricular student life as exemplified by Henrietta Littlefield, professor, and first Director of Student Activities at American International College.

Jalah Oates, of Elizabeth, NJ, majoring in liberal studies, was the sole recipient of the Student Life Recognition Award at American International College (AIC) in Springfield, MA during the College's Co-Curricular Awards Ceremony this spring. The Student Life Recognition Award is presented to students who have directly impacted the improvement of an existing program, the initiation of a new program, of the forming of a new organization.

The Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) announced its 2017-18 All-American members on Sunday March 19, 2018, with American International College junior forward Dana Watts earning honors from the organization. Watts, a Northeast-10 All-Conference first team member, was named an honorable mention. Watts averaged 20.4 points per game, which led the NE10. This marks the second straight year in which Watts has made the WBCA All-America team.

David Tobe, of Elizabeth, NJ, majoring in psychology, was the sole recipient of the Distinguished Service Award at American International College (AIC) in Springfield, MA during the College's Co-Curricular Awards Ceremony this spring. The Distinguished Service Award is presented to students who have demonstrated loyalty and commitment to the enhancement of student life.

Victoria DallaCosta, of Wareham, MA, majoring in occupational science, was the sole recipient of the Ingenuity Award at American International College (AIC) in Springfield, MA during the College's Co-Curricular Awards Ceremony this spring. The Ingenuity Award is presented to students who have shown a high level of creativity, uniquness, and ingenuity in the design and delivery of programs.

Victoriya Maklakova, of Agawam, MA, majoring in accounting, received the Student Employee of the Year Award at American International College (AIC) in Springfield, MA, during the College's Co-Curricular Awards Ceremony this spring. The Student Employee of the Year Award is presented to a student employee who has been distinguished by the caliber of the work contributed to the employing department, the commitment to the function of the area, and the exhibition of the high-quality work readiness tha reflects the values and stardard of the AIC alumni everywhere in the workplace.

Allison Gavin, of Bristol, CT, majoring in communications, received the Volunteer of the Year Award at American International College (AIC) in Springfield, MA during the College's Co-Curricular Awards Ceremony this spring. The Volunteer of the Year Award is presented to a student who has worked in a volunteer capacity in a consistent and selfless manner.

The John Homer Miller Emerging Leadership Award at American International College (AIC) is presented to first-year or sophomore students who have demonstrated leadership early in their college career. John Homer Miller served as Acting President of AIC from 1948-1950. Under his young but visionary leadership, the College acquired the Reed Estate, now the Edgewood Gardens Campus, and provided the needed resources for organized and structured student activities and leadership development programs.

American International College awarded 600 undergraduate and graduate degrees to students representing 14 states and six countries at its 2018 Commencement ceremony.
