Jalah Oates Receives Student Life Recognition Award from American International College
Jalah Oates, of Elizabeth, NJ, majoring in liberal studies, was the sole recipient of the Student Life Recognition Award at American International College (AIC) in Springfield, MA during the College's Co-Curricular Awards Ceremony this spring. John Homer Miller Emerging Leadership Award
The John Homer Miller Emerging Leadership Award at American International College (AIC) is presented to first-year or sophomore students who have demonstrated leadership early in their college career. John Homer Miller served as Acting President of AIC from 1948-1950. Under his young but visionary leadership, the College acquired the Reed Estate, now the Edgewood Gardens Campus, and provided the needed resources for organized and structured student activities and leadership development programs.

AIC Women's Track Graziani Named NE10 Track Rookie of the Year
AIC women's track freshman Yasmine Graziani was named the NE10 Track Rookie of the Year. Yasmine was one of the top 800 meter runners in the region, earning All-East Region honors for the event with a season-best converted time of 2:12.63, in addition to an All-Region selection for the distance medley relay. She was additionally the NE10 Champion in the 800 meters, winning the event in a time of 2:14.16, and placed second with the distance medley relay and 4x800 meter relay teams.

AIC Women's Tennis Calabrese Appointed to SAAC
Junior Alice Calabrese of the American International College women's tennis team has been appointed to the Northeast-10 Conference's official Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) council. The council, which was formally introduced on March 14, 2018, aims to receive information from appropriate sources and act on matters pertaining to the well-being of the student-athletes of the Northeast-10 Conference, according to a release from the NE10. The NE10 SAAC will also receive and discuss information regarding legislative and administrative matters affecting the well-being of student-athletes affiliated with the NE10, and convey judgment on these matters to the appropriate parties.

Jesse Cram, of Chicopee, MA, recently participated in the 10th Annual Undergraduate Research Symposium at American International College. The Undergraduate Research Symposium provides students from across disciplines with a public space to share their original ideas, discoveries, creations, and research in a supportive and professional academic conference setting. Jesse, a biochemistry major, did his research on the roles of androgens and estrogens in breast cancer growth.

AIC Women's Track Ribeiro Selected as NE10 Field Rookie of the Year
AIC women's track and field freshman Jessikha Ribeiro was selected as NE10 Field Rookie of the Year. Jessikha was All-Region in five events: the 60 meter hurdles, the distance medley relay, the high jump, the pentathlon and the long jump. She was named the NE10 Field Athlete of the Week twice and was also the Field Rookie of the Week two times.

Men's Baseball's Costanza Appointed to SAAC
Sophomore Matt Costanza of the AIC baseball team has been appointed to the Northeast-10 Conference's official Student-Athlete Advisory Committee council (SAAC). The council, which was formally introduced on March 14, aims to receive information from appropriate sources and to act on matters pertaining to the well-being of the student-athletes of the Northeast-10 Conference, according to a release from the NE10. "Being selected to be part of NE10 SAAC is a huge honor for me," Costanza said. "Knowing that I have the ability to make a difference to not only my school, but schools across the conference, is a big deal to me, and an opportunity I look forward to taking full advantage of."

Senior Dana Bramble earned All-American status in the triple jump at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships, becoming the fifth female indoor track and field athlete in American International College's history to receive the honor.

Men's track's Kipkosgei earns NE10 Athlete of the Year honors
Junior Leakey Kipkosgei of the American International College men's track and field team has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Year. At the NE10 Championships, Kipkosgei won an unprecedented four gold medals, the most by any AIC athlete at a single championship meet in program history.
