American International College

Sixteen students have been inducted into the American International College (AIC) Chapter of Alpha Chi for the Spring 2024 semester. Since 1922 Alpha Chi National College Honor Society has distinguished itself as one of the top national honor societies in the nation. Alpha Chi recognizes exceptional student scholars who rank in the top ten percent of the junior or senior class across all academic disciplines.

Alyssa Kelleher of Worcester, Massachusetts, has been inducted into Pi Sigma Alpha - the national political science honor society. Ms. Kelleher graduated from American International College (AIC) in May 2024, with a bachelor of arts in political science. According to the organization, Pi Sigma Alpha hosts chapters on nearly 850 campuses and has inducted more than 300,000 members. Its rolls feature national, state, and local political leaders including one president, three Supreme Court justices, and dozens of members of Congress. Each year those who have achieved academic excellence are inducted and display the same passion for politics and policy.

Eighteen AIC students have been inducted into Psi Chi, the International Honor Society of Psychology. The induction ceremony was held in the AIC Campus Center on November 30, 2023. The College recently reinstituted its chapter of one of the largest honor societies in the country. Psi Chi was founded and 1929 with a mission to recognize and promote excellence in the science and application of psychology. To be inducted into Psi Chi is an esteemed honor. Students must be in the top 35% of their class, have a major or minor in psychology, and have excelled in their psychology courses. Congratulations to these students, their professors, and chapter advisers.

Five American International College (AIC) students have been recognized for their academic achievement on the national level with their induction into the Alpha Phi Sigma Alpha Phi Sigma; Alpha Delta chapter Criminal Justice Honor Society. Alpha Phi Sigma recognizes the academic excellence of students of Criminal Justice. It is the only Criminal Justice Honor Society, is a certified member of the Association of College Honor Societies, and is affiliated with the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences.

Alpha Chi is the prestigious national honor society that accepts only the top 10% of juniors and seniors in all academic fields. It recognizes and promotes scholarship and the elements of character that make scholarship effective for good. Established in 1949, this is the 70th anniversary of the Massachusetts Chapter of Alpha Chi at American International College.

Katheryn Fecteau was one of 24 American International College students inducted into the Alpha Chi Honor Society at a ceremony held on April 4, 2018. Fourteen juniors and 10 seniors were honored for being in the top 10% of their class.

CJ Almaraz was one of 24 American International College students inducted into the Alpha Chi Honors Society at a ceremony held on April 4. Fourteen juniors and 10 seniors were honored for being in the top 10 percent of their class.

The highest academic achievement after three semesters recognition is given to a student by the Alpha Chi National Honor Society at American International College (AIC). This recognition took place during AIC's Academic Awards ceremony this spring.

Balancing work, family and college can be a tough challenge, but for nine American International College students, the challenge has not been insurmountable. The students were recognized for their efforts recently as they were inducted into the Omicron Chapter of the Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society during a ceremony in the West Wing of the Karen Sprague Cultural Arts Center.
