Anniina Sankoh Receives Student-Athlete of the Year Award
Anniina Sankoh, of Helsinki, Finland, received a Student-Athlete of the Year Award at American International College (AIC) at the College's Athletic Awards ceremony this spring. The Student-Athlete of the Year Award is presented to the male and female student athlete for each class year that best exemplifies a well-rounded student-athlete. Anniina, a psychology major, received the Second Year Female Student-Athlete of the Year Award.

Federica Frew Receives Milton J. Piepul Merit Medal
Federica Frew, of Melbourne, Australia, was a recipient of the Milton J. Piepul Merit Medal at American International College's (AIC) Athletic Awards ceremony this spring. The Milton J. Piepul Merit Medal is given to a senior who combines excellence on the field with excellence in the classroom maintaining a 3.5 GPA or higher. Frew, a member of the women's soccer team, is a communications major.

AIC Women's Golf Student-Athlete Paulette Romero Reynaud Earns NE-10 Third Team Honors
Paulette Romero Reynaud, of Morelia, Mexico, a sophomore on the women's golf team at American International College (AIC), was named to the NE-10 All-Conference Third Team. Paulette had posted top-10 finishes in her last three tournaments of the season. This included taking fourth at the NEIGA Championship, a seventh-place finish at the Assumption College Invitational on April 13-14, and another seventh-place finish at the Franklin Pierce Spring Invite on April 22, 2019.

AIC Men's Golf Student-Athlete Augustin de Cordes Earns NE-10 Third Team Honors
Augustin de Cordes, of Brussels, Belgium, a freshman on the men's golf team at American International College (AIC), was named to the NE-10 All-Conference Third Team. Augustin had an outstanding rookie campaign with the Yellow Jackets. His performance earned him an appearance at the NCAA Atlantic/East Regional. His best performance of the year was a third-place finish at the NEIGA Championship at the Captain's Course in Brewster, Massachusetts on October 21 and 22, 2018, as he shot a 153, including a 73 on the second day of competition.

AIC Men's Ice Hockey Patrik Demel Named Atlantic Hockey Student-Athlete of the Year
Patrik Demel, of Ostrava, Czech Republic, a junior with the American International College (AIC) men's ice hockey team, was recently named the 2018-19 Atlantic Hockey Conference Student Athlete of the Year. The announcement was made by the conference office on Wednesday, June 19, 2019. Patrik, a psychology major with a minor in marketing, earned a perfect 4.00 grade point average during the 2018-19 academic year. He was one of 12 student-athletes to earn the honor across the 11 institutions that comprise the AHC.

AIC Men's Track and Field Student Athlete Leakey Kipkosgei Wins Individual NE-10 Conference Championships
Leakey Kipkosgei, of Kapsabet, Kenya, a senior with the American International College (AIC) men's track and field team, came in first in two separate events at the Northeast-10 Conference Championship at Penmen Stadium in Hooksett, New Hampshire. Leakey finished in first in the 1500-meter run with a time of 3:53.06. He also came in first in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:09.81.

Charles Joslin-Allen, of Sutton Valence, England, a graudate student with the American International College (AIC) men's track and field team, came in first for the 5000-meter and 10000-meter run at the Northeast-10 Conference Championship at Penmen Stadium in Hooksett, New Hampshire. Charles came in first for both the 5000-meter and 10000-meter run, finishing with times of 14:49.63 and 32:04.08, respectively.

AIC Men's Track and Field Student-Athlete Chad Miller Receives All-American Honors
Chad Miller, of Spanish Town, Jamaica, a junior with the American International College (AIC) men's track and field team, finished in sixth place at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships on Saturday, May 25, 2019, while also receiving All-American status. Chad finished in sixth place in the 400-meter hurdles finals with a time of 54.63 seconds. With his sixth-place finish, he earned All-American honors.

AIC Women's Track and Field Student Athlete Dahsia Middlebrooks Receives All-American Honors
Dahsia Middlebrooks, of New Haven, CT, a junior with the American International College (AIC) women's track and field team, became the first women's outdoor track and field jumper to earn All-American honors at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships on Saturday, May 25, 2019. Dahsia's distance of 12.70 meters is a personal best. After finishing 22nd last season, she jumped up 16 spots and earned All-American honors. She is also the first women's outdoor track and field athlete to win All-American honors in a jumping event.

Dana, a two-time All-American honorable mention, earned her first NE10 Player of the Year after being named to the NE10 First-Team in each of the past two seasons.
