Sarah Calgreen of Stratford receives award from American International College

2010 May 25

Sarah Calgreen of Stratford was recognized for participation in campus activities recently at a ceremony in the Griswold Theatre. More than 70 students received awards at the Co-Curricular Awards night program, as students, parents, faculty and administrators gathered to honor the student leaders.

Calgreen, a Sophomore majoring in Criminal Justice, received the Outstanding Sophomore Award.

Blaine K. Stevens, vice president for student affairs, said the ceremony is special to the students because it recognizes their involvement in campus life not only by faculty and administrators, but by their peers, as well. Campus involvement is a very important part of the college experience," Stevens told the audience, "and we are very proud of these students who were able to balance school work with clubs and other activities. They have made the AIC campus a better place," he said.

American International College is a private, coeducational institution, founded in 1885 offering undergraduate and graduate programs in the schools of Arts, Sciences and Education, Business Administration and Health Sciences.
