Jana Potic Receives Student-Athlete of the Year Award

Jana Potic of New Belgrade, Serbia, has received a Student-Athlete of the Year Award from American International College (AIC) during the College's Athletic Awards ceremony this spring. The Student-Athlete of the Year Award is presented to the male and female individual of year class year who best exemplifies a well-rounded student. Jana received the First Year Female Student of the Year Award.

Jana was one of many stars on a star-studded AIC volleyball roster, but was able to shine immediately as a freshman. She earned Rookie of the Year honors from the Northeast-10 this year, and also was placed on the second team All-Conference and the All-Rookie team. The outside hitter ranked second on the team with 311 kills, 2.83 kills per set, and 198 digs on the season. Three of her season highs came against Pace in digs, kills and points. Jana was also named NE10 Rookie of the Week in early September.
