Devonte' Dillion Awarded a Massachusetts Broadcasters Association Paid Internship at WWLP-22News

Devonte' Dillion of Windsor, CT has been awarded a Massachusetts Broadcasters Association Paid Internship at WWLP-22News.

Dillion was selected among dozens of students applying for the position, offered to an enrolled college journalism student in or entering junior or senior year.

Dillion's duties include assisting producers and news personnel gather elements for broadcast, recording/logging news and events as they happen, participating in newsgathering assignments, making calls to police departments, communicating with the station's field crews, operating the teleprompter, and assisting with the posting of news content on the station's web platforms and social media sites.

Dillion is a Dean's List scholar athlete at AIC. At a recent cocurricular awards event at the College, Dillion was one of nine students honored with the John Homer Miller Emerging Leadership Award presented to first-year or sophomore students who have demonstrated leadership early in their college career.
