Daniel Omoregie Receives the F.J. Maloney Award from American International College

Daniel Omoregie of Lynn, MA, received the F.J. Maloney Award from American International College (AIC) during the College's Athletic Awards ceremony this spring. The F.J. Maloney Award is presented to the most outstanding male and female athletes for four years at AIC.

Football senior captain, Daniel Omoregie, was the anchor of one of the most dominating defensive lines in the nation. Daniel challenged opposing quarterbacks and running backs for four seasons, making 217 tackles in his career, with 31.5 tackles-for-loss and 11 sacks. He was a Northeast-10 All-Rookie selection in 2013 and earned First Team honors in 2014, 2015, and 2016, while being named Northeast-10 Defensive Lineman of the Year in 2016. Daniel earned all-region honors each of the last three years from the Don Hansen Football Gazette. In addition, he was selected Super Region I Defensive Lineman of the Year in 2016 and was named a 2016 Division II-III All-Star by the New England Football Writer's Association. Daniel majored in Sports and Recreation Management.
